Guadeloupe is in crisis
For some weeks (even months), Guadeloupe is in crisis. Some people are demanding the right to earn more money, to buy basic groceries and ingredients that are more more expensive there than anywhere else. They are dearer because they are imported and traders make more than comfortable margins.
Today, the press at last talks about an agreement made on an increase of €200 for the lowest salaries. An increase, but at what cost?
