Recommend is invest
For Xavier (via Readwriteweb), recommend is :
- personal recommendation - recommend items based on the past behavior
- social recommendation - recommend items based on similar user spent
- object recommendation - recommend items based on intrinsic qualities of the object itself
For Strands the recommendation is about discovery. the concept ? say me what you like and don’t like, i will say you what you should like that you don’t know.
For ReadWriteWeb the recommendation is an art.
I think recommend is invest. When I get involved I recommend someone for that person sending the person of my confidence, my support. When I recommend a product, I suggest to others that this property is worth the same investment.
More systems of recommendations will be intuitive, transparent and natural, more people will use them.
